PapugLinux-07.2
Dear all,
A new release of PapugLinux, called 07.2, is now available. Our main work was focused on the hard disk installer and we hope it will works on most computers. Only few programs were added in this release, like GParted or Pidgin as a Gaim replacement.
We hope this release will give you satisfaction and please send any feedback/request to help this Linux distribution getting better.

7.2 works fine on celeron 600Mhz, 128Mb ram. Install seems to have problems when trying to install on NTFS instead of ext, oh well. Synced with the tree with no problems, except that I had to remove "confcache" from make.conf FEATURES, portage seems to be set up to protect overwriting files and so make failed every single time. I would only advise on better automatic kernel configuration (my old celeron is set by default to the i686 family!)
Other then that, Brilliant!!!

Oh yes...one other thing...can somone PLEASE tell me how to set the keyboard to US by default? It switchs to French on every startup which is cause for some undue frustration =|

Hi,
This keyboard issue is strange as the new default keyboard is US since 07.2. We'll check twice !
If you're running an installed PapugLinux :
- edit /etc/conf.d/keymaps for console
- after first reboot remove the mkxf86config from startup script 'rc-update del mkxf86config default', it's no more useful.
- double check your keyboard config in the /etc/X11/xorg.conf
